High Pressure Shaft Seal
HECO has introduced high pressure shaft seals for all models.
This seal is made by Parker and offers the advantage of increased case pressure when using a bearingless Char-Lynn motor or any hydraulic motor that has been modified to allow case flow to lubricate the gear unit.
This seal has been particularly effective in applications where the gear unit is operating vertically with the shaft down. In these applications the high pressure seal will allow more shaft deflection when when the shaft is operating in a high side load condition.
